about

Have you ever heard a song and felt as if the singer was telling your story? That’s usually the reaction to a Steevan Mars song. The core of his songwriting is raw emotion woven into a 3 1/2 minute pop/rock song. The universal themes of love and loss, yearning and hope shine through his incredibly personal lyrics -with catchy melodies - songs that stay in your head while your heart -aches.

From his debut EP, If Not Now When? to his latest, That Was Then This Is Now Again (produced by Tim Quick , guitarist on Broadway's Rock of Ages and Wonderland), you'll find songs that dig deep into the heart of everyday life. That Was Then This Is Now Again, refers to the cycles that people go through in their lives, particularly in their relationships -things change and yet some things stay the same. We come out of painful experiences swearing we'll never go through that again. Then we find ourselves doing it all over -just with different people. If that's your experience, you might find yourself reflected in Mars' lyrics.
